How to Set Up an Auto-Refill Routine for Easy Jug Clean So You Never Run Out

Understanding Your Consumption Rate β The Planning Foundation
Before setting up any resupply system, knowing your actual consumption rate makes the system accurate. The default Easy Jug Clean consumption rate is 2 tablets per jug per week. One pack contains 8 tablets β a 4-week supply for one jug on a weekly schedule. Households with multiple jugs, households cleaning at 4β5 day intervals (warm climates or sensitive household members), or those also using tablets for quarterly dispenser reservoir cleaning will consume at a higher rate.
| Household Setup | Tablets/Month | Packs/Month | Recommended Stock Level |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 jug, weekly cleaning | 8 tablets | 1 pack | 2 packs on hand at all times |
| 1 jug, every 5 days | 12 tablets | 1.5 packs | 3 packs on hand |
| 2 jugs, weekly | 16 tablets | 2 packs | 4 packs on hand |
| 1 jug + quarterly reservoir clean | ~10 tablets average | 1β2 packs | 3 packs on hand |
The Four-Component Supply System
Set a visual reorder trigger point
Place a small sticker or marker on the pack at the 4-tablet level (halfway). When you drop tablets for a session and the pack is at or below this marker, that session triggers a reorder β not a mental note, an immediate action. The trigger point is set so that by the time the reorder arrives (typically 3β5 business days), you still have 2β4 treatments remaining. You never run out; you reorder before you need to.
Keep one full backup pack in reserve
In addition to the active pack, maintain one sealed full pack as buffer stock. This absorbs any shipping delay, holiday pause, or unexpected increase in cleaning frequency (summer heat requiring 5-day intervals instead of 7-day). When the backup is opened because the active pack ran out before a resupply arrived, that triggers a new order immediately. The buffer level is one pack β never drop below it before reordering.
Set a calendar reminder for quarterly review
Four times per year, spend 60 seconds reviewing your consumption: is the weekly schedule still being maintained? Has the household changed (added a jug, increased cleaning frequency for summer)? Does the buffer stock level still match actual usage? A quarterly check catches drift before it turns into running-out situations.
Store tablets correctly to maintain potency
Even with perfect supply management, backup packs must be stored in conditions that maintain tablet potency. The enemy of sodium percarbonate tablets is humidity β even atmospheric moisture can begin activating the chemistry and degrading active oxygen over time. Store in the original sealed packaging, in a dry kitchen cabinet, away from under-sink areas (which can have humidity from plumbing) and away from the dishwasher vicinity. Properly stored tablets maintain full potency for 2+ years.
